US Senate approves SCHIP reauthorization bill
Today, the US Senate approved reauthorization of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to millions more low‐income, uninsured children across the country. The bill will now go to a conference committee to reconcile differences between the House and Senate versions.
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison voted for the reauthorization while Senator John Cornyn voted against.
