Congregations Asked to Toll Bells Monday at Noon
Celebrate the Life of Ann Richards
At the request of Ann Richards' family and friends, congregations in Austin and throughout Texas are invited to toll their bells at 12 o'clock noon on Monday, September 18, for one minute, in celebration of Richards' life.
The bells will coincide with Richards' public memorial service at UT's Frank Erwin Center.
Schedule of Events
Richards lies in state Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17, in the Texas Capitol Rotunda. The public are invited to pay their respects from 9:30 to 8:00 on Saturday and 9:00 to 8:00 on Sunday.
Monday, the Frank Erwin Center opens to the public at 10:30 am, with a public memorial service scheduled from noon to 1pm.
