Welcome to Our New Website!
Welcome to Texas Impact’s new, interactive website! Please take a minute to read this message—it explains all the features of the website and how to get the most out of it.
We’ve built our website using “Drupal.” Drupal is open source software that allows a community of users to easily publish, manage and organize a great variety of content on a website.
So now that we have this great tool, we need a community of users…and we hope you’ll agree to participate!
Becoming a User
To use this website fully, including posting comments and communicating directly with other Texas Impact members, you must register as a “user.” To register as a user, click on “Create new account” in the right-hand column. Once you create your user account, you’ll be able to comment on information you find on the website and even add new information.
For example, over in the left-hand column under “What Does My Faith Tell Me?” you can find a link to the social statements of many faith traditions on a variety of issues. Is there a social statement missing from the list? Make a comment and let us know what you think needs to be added.
Got a lot to say? Request advanced posting privileges so you can post new content and help us build the site.
You can also contact other Texas Impact members directly from this website IF they are also registered users. Do you disagree with our grouchy user “Fiscal Conservative” and his indictment of Texas’ sales tax holiday? Click on the “Reply” link in his comments, and you can respond directly to him.
Please Note!
Becoming a user on our website does NOT automatically put you on the list to receive Texas Impact’s email newsletter or action alerts. To sign up for our email list, click on the “Sign up for our Email Newsletter” link near the top of the left-hand column.
Also Note!
Texas Impact depends on the contributions of individuals and communities of faith to bring you clear, current information about state public policy and religious social concern. Click on the “Support Texas Impact” link in the left-hand column to join Texas Impact as an individual or congregation.
