Texas Wildfires
Labor Day weekend was a devastating time for numerous Texas communities. Hundreds of Texas families have lost their homes, and four lives have been lost in these historic wildfires that continue to burn throughout the state. The level of loss experienced by our families, friends and neighbors is heartbreaking. All of us at Texas Impact extend our prayers, love and support to all those affected by these fires.
We also extend our thanks and prayers to the emergency responders working tirelessly to get folks out of harm’s way and to fight the wildfires.
If you would like to give a financial donation, please visit your local Red Cross website. For those in Central Texas, visit American Red Cross of Central Texas. For those in the Bastrop area, please bring them to the Bastrop Convention Center 8am-8pm. Financial donations can also be sent to Austin Disaster Relief Network or by calling (512) 331-2200.
If you have in-kind donations, ADRN also has a list of in-kind donations that they are accepting. Moreover, a donation center is being set up by the Bastrop Christian Ministerial Alliance at the Warehouse at Rundell Business Park (704 Highway 71 West). The warehouse will be open 9am - 8pm. Please leave donations at this site and do not leave donations at any shelter or the convention center. For questions, please call 512.332.8661.
If you have been affected by the fire, ADRN has set up a victim hotline (512) 331-2600 and you can also call 2-1-1 for immediate support.
For more donation locations and ways to help, KVUE has an extensive list.
