FBI Honors Texas Impact Board Member Mohamed Elibiary
Texas Impact Board Member Mohamed Elibiary has been honored by the FBI with the Louis E. Peters Memorial Award for extraordinary citizen contribution to the agency and the country. Mohamed was nominated for the award by the heads of the FBI offices in Dallas and Houston. He has been the President of the Freedom and Justice Foundation which works on public policy issues of interest to Muslims, from state legislation to national security. Last year, Department of Homeland Security's advisory council appointed Mohamed to the council. He has also driven the work on fusion centers with Texas Impact which culminated in community meetings and The Eyes of Texas: Communities, Trust, and Intelligence-led Policing.
