Conference Call with President Obama and Faith Community a Success!
The national conference call with faith leaders and President Obama on August 19 was an overwhelming success, attracting 140,000 people from across the nation. This response showed that people of faith believe there is a moral imperative to enact just, meaningful healthcare reform in the United States.
This sheer number of people of faith who tuned in to the call astounded the call-in organizers and caused some technical problems, so many people could not connect to hear President Obama speak. If you unsuccessfully tried to listen in, either by phone or on the internet, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience!
